Saville Assessment and Fujitsu shortlisted for Best Candidate Experience at The FIRM Awards

We are delighted to announce that our recent work with technology giants Fujitsu has been shortlisted for the Best Candidate Experience award at The FIRM Awards in March.

Fujitsu have approximately 159,000 staff worldwide and Saville worked closely with their Junior Talent Acquisition team to improve the recruitment process and candidate experience for those applying for graduate positions.

From the design to implementation stages, Saville helped Fujitsu realise their vision of offering a digital candidate experience which balances technology and innovation, whilst ensuring a reliable and robust approach to assessment. An approach that would facilitate the highest ever proportion of female candidates, see greater diversity coming through at each stage in the selection process and double the proportion of BAME candidates hired onto Fujitsu’s graduate programme.  

By introducing a bespoke Situational Judgement Test to their graduate recruitment process we were able to help them achieve an 18% increase in completion rates and a 19% decrease in incomplete applications by BAME candidates. The Situational Judgement Test was designed to give candidates a realistic job preview, and was used alongside our Swift Analysis Aptitude assessment to quickly and efficiently test a candidate’s verbal, numerical and diagrammatic reasoning.

These assessments were created in line with Fujitsu’s branding and fully integrated with their applicant tracking system to provide a seamless candidate experience.

94% of candidates agreed that the technology deployed was easy to use and 75% of candidates agreed or strongly agreed that the assessment process was highly relevant to a graduate role at Fujitsu.
