Built to answer one question: who will actually perform?
Professor Peter Saville started this company in 2004 to build a better predictor of workplace performance. The model he created is independently rated the most predictive of performance to this day, and it now sits behind hiring, development and mobility decisions in more than 180 countries.

Twenty years of asking who will actually perform
Professor Peter Saville founded the company in 2004. He had already spent a career in this field, and he started from a question most assessment at the time did not answer, and plenty still does not: not what is someone like, but how will they actually perform? So we built a model of work performance first, tested 428 measures of work behavior against independent performance ratings, and kept the 108 that predicted it best. That became Wave®.
Some of the people who joined in those first years are still here, so the team you work with has seen most of the problems you are about to bring us. In 2023 Tenzing backed the business, and we have been accelerating our mission to put the right people in the right roles, powered by science, ever since.
Since then, the work has been taking that science further and making it easier to use.

The organizations that have seen results
Fujitsu, Heathrow, Jaguar Land Rover, Sainsbury’s and Virgin Money have used our assessments to decide who to hire, who to develop and who is ready to move.
The results are published, with the numbers in them.
Four things we believe about people decisions
Most assessment tells you what someone is like. That helps in a coaching conversation. It helps far less when you have two finalists and one job. Ours tells you what they will do, and the British Psychological Society rated the science behind it 27 out of 30. The review is public, so you can check it yourself.
The best assessment in the world is worth nothing if it sits in a platform nobody logs into. Choosing us, buying from us and using what we build should all be straightforward.
What you learn about someone at interview should still be useful when they are up for promotion. Hiring, development and mobility run on the same model, so the insight builds rather than starting again.
Businesses spend more on people than on anything else, and rarely know which of those decisions paid off. We would rather be judged on that than on our methodology.
